Dr. Huy Nguyen joined Brown & Associated Medical Laboratories in August 2022. He earned his medical degree at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He completed his pathology residency at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University (Detroit, Michigan) in 2017-2021, where he served as Chief Resident from 2019-2020. He subsequently completed his Surgical Pathology fellowship at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, Texas) in 2021-2022. Dr. Nguyen is an American Board of Pathology Diplomate, certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Dr. Huy Nguyen has a special interest in dermatopathology since he was in residency training. He has been active in clinical consultation work provided to Vietnamese patients since 2019, led by Dr. Thuy L. Phung, co-founder of the Asian Society of Dermatopathology (ASD) and former representative of Vietnam. Inspired by Dr. Thuy Phung, Dr. Huy Nguyen is also passionate about the mission of enhancing the standard practice of pathology in Vietnam. Together with his colleagues in Vietnam, he wants to contribute to the establishment of an official society of dermatopathology in Vietnam.
