Dr. Steven Chow is a senior consultant dermatologist at the Pantai Hospital in Kuala Lumpur and is acknowledged for his role in advancing clinical dermatology and dermatopathology training programs in the region. He had guided the development of the League of Asean Dermatological Societies (LADS) since 1990 and has been instrumental in the formation of the Asian Academy of Dermatology & Venereology in 2009 as the founder secretary-general and developed the first international fellowship training program in dermatopathology for AADV in 2012. He chairs the AADV/Asian Skin Foundation Committee and is also the founding president of the Asian League of Dermatological Societies and current chairman of the Asian Dermatological Association. His field of practice is in clinical dermatology with special interest in acne, biologic therapy and allergy. In Malaysia, he leads the DRsforAll, a medical outreach program focused on enhancing self-community self-reliance empowerment in basic healthcare for marginalized indigenous communities in the jungles of Malaysia.
