Dr. Eileen Liesl Abesamis-Cubillan is a Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and Founding Chair of the Department of Dermatology of the University of the Philippines- Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH). Dr Cubillan earned her Medical Degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and completed her residency in Dermatology at the UP-PGH. She subsequently took her fellowship training in Dermatopathology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).

Dr Cubillan has served as chair of the Philippine Board of Dermatology, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Philippine Dermatological Society, Board of Director of the Philippine Dermatological Society and is the immediate past president of the Dermatopathology Society of the Philippines.
